Frequently asked questions
How do I book a session?
Use the contact form. Please select your package and let me know what the images are for. I usually reply within an hour. We'll have a short call to align on goals and logistics. A 40% deposit secures your date.
Do you shoot on weekends?
Yes: seven days a week.
What is the Optional Privacy AddOn: "Don't Feature Me"?
By default, I own the copyright to all images I create. I may showcase select images from your shoot on my website, social media, proposals, and ads. This realworld work is what helps new clients find and trust me. If you prefer not to be featured anywhere, you can add the "Don't Feature Me" option. This does not change copyright (I still own the images) or your usage license; it only restricts my use of the photos.
Can we shoot outside of Amsterdam?
Yes. Depending on the requirements, I will tailor a quote upfront.
What if I'm camerashy?
Normal, and it's my speciality. I guide expression and posture, keep it relaxed, and work at your pace. Most clients leave saying, "That was fun."
Do you have a studio?
Yes. Historic mansion in the Nine Streets, with library, garden, roof terrace, and a fully equipped studio (professional lighting and backdrops).
What should I wear? How many outfits?
Your package lists outfit allowances; it is always a good idea to bring 1–2 extra options beyond the package requirements, just to have more choices.
Guidelines: solid colours over busy patterns; muted tones; everything clean and ironed; proper trousers and shoes (posture matters); V-neck or U-neck tops are acceptable. We'll review together before shooting.
Makeup and grooming?
Optional. An inhouse makeup artist is available for a natural, cameraready look (studio or daylight)—book in advance. For men, we handle shine control, flyaways, and lint checks; bring a comb and lip balm.
How do I select my final images?
You will receive a private online gallery, along with a brief tutorial on how to navigate it. Add favourites; I retouch and deliver within 1-3 business days. Please let me know if you're on a deadline so I can plan accordingly.
How much retouching is included?
Standard natural retouching on selected images: blemish/spot removal, light undereye, skin softening while keeping texture, flyaways, clothing wrinkles, subtle teeth brightening, light colour work/crop, background cleanup if needed. No hidden fees.
What if the weather is bad (outdoor sessions)?
We can reschedule, ideally within two weeks. Light rain or snow can look great; we'll decide together.
What if I’m late?
Message me immediately. I'll do my best, but your session may be shortened if others are booked after you. Noshows are nonrefundable.
Do you provide RAW files?
No. I deliver finished, retouched images that reflect my quality standards. Need a specific crop or format? I'll prepare it.
Cancellation & rescheduling
Cancel at least 72 hours in advance to avoid charges. Cancellations within 72 hours are charged the full session fee (studio time is reserved for you). Rescheduling within 24 hours is treated as a cancellation and requires a new booking.
Licensing & usage
You receive a perpetual, non-exclusive license for personal and standard business use across the web, LinkedIn, social media, PR, decks, and internal communications (non-resale). For paid ads, billboards, or large campaigns, request an extended license.
Delivery format & archiving
I deliver weboptimised files. Galleries are hosted for 90 days; redelivery is available on request.
Payment & VAT
Payment by bank transfer (card on request via an invoice). Prices exclude 21% VAT. Balance due on delivery.
Can you match our brand guidelines?
Yes, background tones, framing, crop ratios (LinkedIn, website, PR), and any colour accents are aligned before we shoot.
Onsite team headshots—how long per person?
Plan 5–8 minutes per person (basic) or 10–15 minutes (enhanced), plus a buffer. A CSV template for scheduling is available on request.
